Comet Closet DutiesAs the advisor of the Comet Closet, I help the Student Executive Board to reach their goals through assessment, marketing, outreach, and partnerships. Our team is excited about launching our website, and we’re looking forward to the completion of our inventory system so that we can serve the UTD community on a wider scale!

Background: In addition to serving as a board member of the Comet Closet, I am a member of Rotaract Club, which is an international service organization that I have been involved with since high school! Recently, I joined the Student Diversity Advisory Council to help promote diversity and inclusion dialogues on campus. I am also an alum of the Davidson Management Honors Program, which has been a big part of my college experience.
Career goals(s): To work in public service, preferably in a marketing and communications role.
Comet Closet Duties: I am the Director of Marketing for the Comet Closet, which means that I come up with clever strategies for our social media, manage our traditional marketing efforts, and help with event planning and outreach.
Fun Fact: At any given moment I am craving a passion fruit tea with boba and rainbow jellies…want to make my day?

Hometown: Allen, Texas
Background: I came to UT Dallas as a Business Administration major, but switched to Supply Chain Management when I realized that supply chain is a fascinating field with great opportunities in the future.
UT Dallas Involvement: I’ve worked on campus as a tour guide with the Visitor Center, worked as a lifeguard at the Activity Center, and have been involved with student organizations such as Supply Chain Leadership Council as well as Fellowship of Christian University Students. I’m currently in the process of starting a club for speakers/learners of the Arabic language.
Career Goals: I’d like to use my skills and knowledge in Supply Chain to eventually work in international development or humanitarian relief doing logistics.
Fun Fact: I play bass in a ska band called The Rotisserie Chickens.

Background: I was born in Khartoum, Sudan and moved to Dallas, Texas as a refugee when I was 6 years old. I come from a big family in which I have 50 cousins, the majority of them still back in Africa.

Comet Closet DutiesServing as the Director of Outreach on the Executive Board, I find ways to connect with community members to gain awareness and support for the Comet Closet. Specifically, I establish a link between the organization and the students we aim to serve for Comet Closet by creating, scheduling, organizing and promoting outreach activities and events held at UT Dallas/JSOM and in the community.
Fun Fact: I love animals, music/singing, trying new foods, and learning about other cultures.
